Cartier Carat is an aromatic interpretation of diamonds. Cartier perfumery Mathilde Laurent wanted to make a perfume that would shine as lively and intense as diamonds. Carat is described as a flower full of life, an explosion of pleasure and freshness with molecules of joy, charged with crystal energy.

To achieve this, the perfume manufacturer decided to mimic optic phonem, which is characteristic of diamonds: color diffraction. So she chose seven different fresh flowers, which, when combined, form a new, abstract flower.
